In this article I discuss repairing a Black+Decker B2300 Bread Maker by replacing the drive belts. I also have included a bunch of my favorite recipes.

In my case I pulled out my trusty Black+Decker B2300 3 pound Bread Maker at the Christmas break to make my annual batch of breads only to have my machine make some nasty sounds while emitting a burning smell.

Black+Decker - B2300 Failure Mode !!

When I went to make bread, I noticed that my machine was making strange noises and was not kneading the dough as usual There was a pungent burning smell as well coming from the machine. I took apart the machine and discovered that the belts had in fact disintegrated.

The B2300 Bread Maker utilizes two drive belts. Both belts were destroyed by the drive motor and needed to be replaced. I cleaned up the machine, removing all the debris and cleaning the gears.

I had to source new belts and found them on AliExpress for $25.55.

Once the belts arrived, I installed them and reassembled the machine and it is good as new. Time to make some of my favorite breads.
