In this article, I show you how to use the Qfile app to transfer to and from the borsch.ca website. This is very handy when you want to share large files like videos, photos, etc.

For iOS users, you can download Qfile from Apple's App Store here. For Android users, you can download Qfile from Google Play here.

IMPORTANT UPDATE (2022): Due to a recent change in the cyber security model, Qfile will no longer automatically work remotely. You will have to use with an approved borsch.ca account/connection (with special temporary / "time limited" access). Also, the connection must enable "Secure Login (SSL)" and the port number required to connect is 8084 (located under "Advanced settings"). In "Advanced settings" turn off "Detect port automatically" and then change the port numbers to 8084. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you still cannot connect as this will create an email request to turn on the service on the borsch.ca NAS:

Below is an instructional video on how to download and log in using Qfile on your phone. As previously stated, Qfile is very handy for uploading/downloading photos directly on your phone. You will need to have a user ID/PWD to log into the borsch.ca NAS. Note: while this is a lengthy instructional video (~ 6min), it covers the "one time" setup required to install and configure Qfile on your Android or IPhone. Once it is set up the app is very easy to use and transfer files, videos, photos, etc. as the app can be configured to remember the server location, id , etc. making logins very easy.
