In this article I show you how to modify your Budweiser Goal Light to work with personal assistants like Google, Alexa, Siri, etc. In order to do this, you will need a small WIFI or RF controller chip. Also in this article I show you how to modify the Goal light to run on a standard 5 volt USB power adaptor instead of batteries.

The cost for this modification is $3-$10 depending on where you purchase your controller board. In my case I purchased a RF 433 MHz Controller board with remote for about $4 from China.

The reason for choosing the RF 433 MHz controller board means that I can fire the device "on demand" using a remote. I also purchased a SONOFF RF 433 MHz bridge controller that converts WiFi commands to/from RF 433 Mhz. I use this to allow personal assistants to also fire the goal light.

SONOFF RF 433 Bridge App

SONOFF devices work with the eWeLink App. Therefore, you will need to install the eWeLinK app to control the RF433 chip using personal assistants like Google, Alexa, Siri, etc..

You can download this app from Google Play (for Android) or the App Store (for iOS devices). Look for the eWeLink icon:

Once you install the app and add and account and add the device, you can simply link the eWeLink app to your digital assistant (e.g. Google Home) and control your device from your assistant.
