In this article I explain how to transfer large files, photos, videos, etc. to and from the borsch.ca NAS. There are times where users would like to share large files, videos, photo collections, etc. to be hosted on the borsch.ca website. The borsch.ca underlying file server (Network Attached File Server - NAS) can be leveraged to transfer files back and forth.

IMPORTANT UPDATE (2022): Due to a recent change in cyber security concerns, the borsch.ca NAS has been further locked down with most ports disabled. However there is a mechanism that allows for the ability to remotely login into the NAS for special circumstances.

If you have been provided an id/pwd to allow you to transfer files to/from the borsch.ca NAS, you can use Qfile (a special file transfer app)  on your phone and/or you can log in directly via your laptop/desktop to transfer files. Here is an article on how to download and install Qfile on your phone

The following article is targeted for super users and administrators and is restricted (meaning you will require special permission to access) but outlines how to enable a user to have special temporary access to the borsch.ca NAS for file transfers.
