What happens when you move the weight?

Slide the weight towards the heel (see DRAW in the track), and this big movement of mass will have the effect of promoting a draw or anti-slice bias on your drives. If you struggle with a fade or want to correct a slice, this setting will help you. Just lock it in, wait for the click, and away you go.

Conversely, if you slide the 16-gram weight towards the toe, this creates a fade or anti-hook bias on shots. So if your poor drive tends to be a hook, try this setting to correct it.

And, of course, you can secure the weight anywhere along the track to make the changes more gradual or subtly.

What about the hosel?

You can also adjust loft and lie via Callaway's Opti-Fit hosel. Looking at the markings on the hosel, you'll notice there's a little dash or line above and below the cogs. When adjusting the Opti-Fit hosel, the Golden Rule is to have these little lines lined up at all times!

When the shaft screw is fully opened, the head can be easily removed from the shaft, and you'll immediately notice the top and bottom cogs can turn independently of each other, and these indicate some of the different loft and lie options you can choose.

What are your options?

You can add up to 2-degrees of loft or reduce it to 1-degree lower than stated. Then for each loft, you can choose an N for neutral and a D for draw setting.

Loft first!

The key to setting up the Opti-Fit hosel is to focus on finding your desired loft first.

You want to hit the driver a little higher and bring up the spin a little line up +1 with the little hyphen. While holding that in place, you have two options, N for Neutral and D for Draw.

Line up N or D and reattach the head, ensuring your settings are lined up between the hyphens and tighten to the 'CLICK'.

If you want to flight the ball a little lower and reduce spin, you can lower the loft by 1-degree. Spin the top cog until -1 lines up with the hyphen, then spin the other cog to choose Neutral or Draw pop the head back on, make sure the lines match and tighten to the 'CLICK'.

For more clarity - The key to setting up the Opti-Fit hosel is to focus on finding your desired loft first - "S" for stated loft and +1, +2, or -1 -degrees. If you want to hit the driver a little higher and bring up the spin, you can add 1-degree of loft by lining up +1 with the little hyphen.

And you're ready to go!!

So that is how to adjust your EPIC Flash and EPIC Flash Sub Zero driver. We advise first finding the best setting for you on the weight track at the back and then dialling in your loft and lie with the hosel adjustment.
