Day 1

Travel day and first game at 2:30 at Western Fair.
Game 1
A good warmup game with a 3-0 win. Tom was a brick wall between the pipes with a solid shutout!!

The game got a bit ugly with the other team taking runs at players out of frustration - along with a helmet ending up getting launched by our number “93” who was given a game suspension!!?? Luckily we don’t have a “93” 😎

Dinner was at the local Crabby Joe’s where too many of the $5 Martini’s were had!!!

Quote of the tourney from game 1 “Hey dude!!! Those are my underwear!!!!”

Day 2

Day 2 had two games scheduled with some stiffer competition.

MC gets a suspension for Game 1 for throwing the helmet!! Brutal!!!

Quote of the day - “Check it out guys - my underwear have anchors on them!!”

Game 2

Game 2 was against the Strokinovs  and without MC we ended up in a 3-3 tie (tie for both periods) with both Paul and Luke scoring in the shootout to secure the win.....

Game 3

MC is out on probation and Game 3 is against the Penetang Kings who lost close games against the current first and second place teams....It was apparent that we were gonna outmatch the team and ended up picking up all 4 points to likely finish with 11 points for the round robin (likely good enough for 2nd place going into the quarterfinals).

Paul doing his magic:

Dinner was takeout from a local Portuguese restaurant paired with Louie’s famous and awesome homemade red wine (which Louie appeared to have an endless supply of). We watched the Leafs game with the intent to head out to Cowboys.

Out on the town at Cowboys

Day 3

Finished first overall and played Bog Bridge Energy aka the Chiefs (8th place team)… Was a tough match and when the team found out that we were playing for cheap carry bags - we folded like a dirty shirt!!

Unfortunately Tom was playing injured with a bad back and further smoked his back in a big collision behind our net and couldn’t finish the game - good luck Tom healing up !!

Early trip home boys!!!

Quote of the day “LUC - I am the GOAT - that is why I sit in the back and get charioted around!!”

Honourable mention goes to Patrick’s dad who said that “Patrick has to remember that he is Canadian and start playing some hockey and stop messing around with the dam arts and crafts!!!”
