In this article, I show you how to install the "QuMagie" app onto you phone in order to share/post photos and videos on borsch.ca.
NOTE: QuMagie replaced Qphoto. If you previously used and/or installed QPhoto, you can delete it and use QuMagie (effective Aug 2023).
Viewing "Hidden" Photos and Videos
On borsch.ca you will now see various "Click Here" links like the one above where you can view and download photos and videos of events. However, in some cases, these photos and/or videos are hidden and require that you 'validate' a password to access them so you can contact me and I will provide you with the required password. This allows you to "view" photos and/or videos that have been uploaded to the site.
QuMagie - For Uploading Photos and Videos
You also can also contribute to these photos or videos and have these linked to a particular web page by an "Album" (i.e. an event). In order to post photos on the website and because these can be quite large - you will need to share/post the photos using a special app on your phone called "QuMagie". The photos and/or videos, once uploaded to a folder, will automatically be linked to an "Album" and be shared on the website (let me know of your upload via an

ID/PWD - For Uploading Photos and Videos
I have created a special account ID and Password for each event so that folks can safely & securely upload photos/videos directly to the borsch.ca network. This is a one-time setup and you can contact me if you need an ID/PWD so that you can use the app for the event and/or tournament. Once you have an ID/PWD to upload videos, photos, etc. directly from your Android or Apple (IPhone) using a file sharing app called "QuMagie". In the app the photos will be organized in "folders" - these folders will then be shown in various "Albums" associated with an event. The app will allow you to "remember" your login/pwd so you do not have to enter it again and you can add files (photos and videos) to the appropriate folder.

Important - For cyber security reasons - "Uploading" may not always be turned on!
I will be enabling (turning on) this capability to upload at specific times, typically during an event, so feel free to contact me if you are unable to connect using the "QuMagie" app even thou you have a valid ID/PWD and would like the ability to upload some photos.
Note, already uploaded photos will always be available / accessible from the website.
