Tanner grew up as an elite athlete playing both rep hockey (goalie) as well as rep football (often playing both ways - only leaving the field for a mandatory water break during hot weather) - doing both at the same time.

Top Prospects Combine:

At the evaluation camps, Tanner impressed the coaches on both sides of the border (Canadian and US coaches) by his size, explosiveness and quickness. For a large and powerful teen, the coaches were especially impressed by his endurance, power and coordination. Tanner excelled on both sides of the ball (both as an offensive player and a defensive player), When demonstrating his defensive skills, the coaches noted how Tanner dwarfed the offensive line during the drills, repeatedly sacking the QB with ease.

Tanner Playing as a Top Prospect in the Fox 40 Prospects Game:

Tanner made an immediate and significant impression during the Top Prospect game in Hamilton Ontario at Tim Horton's field - "raising eyebrows" with his performance. Solidifying him as a 2001 Top Prospect.

After a few years of delays due to Covid, Tanner eventually retired from active play closing out his football career by volunteering to be a coach for his high school team (prior to being formally shutdown due to the Covid pandemic).

In 2015 Tanner got the opportunity to play pick up hockey at the Air Canada Center (ACC) including the kids of Brendan Shanahan (the president and alternate governor for the Toronto Maple Leafs).

Hello, my name is Tanner Borsch

I love presenting ideas to an audience. I enjoy the strategic thinking that goes into a persuasive presentation, and the on-the-spot thinking required to answer questions. I like solving complex problems efficiently by finding ways to simplify them. I can’t wait to use these skills in advertising account management.

Throughout my life whether it was in sports, school, or the workplace, I’ve been told that I’m “coachable”. I enjoy learning and I appreciate receiving feedback that helps me improve. This mindset helped me become one of the few students in my program to earn a coveted spot on the Ontario College Marketing Competition (OCMC) team, where we placed first.

During my 5+ years working in sales and customer service, I consistently met or exceeded all performance targets. At Seneca College, I was the leader of the team of talented students that won first place in the Integrated Marketing Campaign competition.

But don’t just take it from me, here’s a sample of what others have said about me:

I’m also a bit of a comedian, so when I’m not working or at school, you might find me at a comedy club. My sense of humour is like a superpower – it puts people around me at ease and can often help diffuse difficult situations.

So that’s me. A coachable, strategic thinking problem-solver whom you can count on to efficiently deliver outstanding results, with a touch of humour. And now I’m ready to add “advertising account manager” to that description!
